gdf6a positively modulates the abundance of tbx2b transcript during stages of retinal development when photoreceptors differentiate. All panels show in situ hybridization using tbx2b riboprobe. gdf6as327/s327 mutants have less tbx2b expression at 3 days post-fertilization (dpf) compared to normophthalmic siblings, akin to tbx2blor/lor mutants.
