Committees and Working Groups
Zebrafish Nomenclature Committee (ZNC)
The Zebrafish Nomenclature Committee, appointed at a Cold Spring Harbor meeting several years ago, provides guidelines and advice for naming genes and mutants. These conventions are based on input from the zebrafish community and on the rules used for naming human and mouse genes.

Advisory Group on Intellectual Property
Based on the enthusiasm of commercializing zebrafish research, we have set up an Advisory Committee for intellectual property. We will keep an updated list of our names on the web to help people initiate the process of invention disclosure, as well as finding opportunities for company involvement.
