Phenotype of Zip10MO zebrafish.

Zebrafish embryos were injected with 2 ng of translation blocking morpholino-modified oligonucleotides against zip10 and compared to uninjected wild type (WT) embryos. Morphological defects observed from 6 to 72 hpf included delayed epiboly, underdeveloped and deformed head, brain and eyes, stunted body axis, bent or curled tail, oedema of the pericardial sack, deformed heart (heart-string), delayed hatching and reduced hatching success. Other details as in Figure 4.
