antigen processing and presentation of endogenous peptide antigen via MHC class Ib via ER pathway

Term ID
GO:0002488
Synonyms
  • endogenous peptide antigen processing and presentation via MHC class Ib via ER pathway
Definition
The process in which an antigen-presenting cell expresses a peptide antigen of endogenous origin on its cell surface in association with an MHC class Ib protein complex following intracellular transport via an ER pathway. The peptide is typically a fragment of a larger endogenous protein which has been degraded within the cell and becomes associated with the MHC class Ib molecule in the ER. Class Ib here refers to non-classical class I molecules, such as those of the HLA-E gene family. 15928678
