Aβ42 reduces the expression levels of KAT2, which generates KYNA, an inhibitory regulator of neural stem cell proliferation through its receptor Ahr2. For successful regeneration to take place, tryptophan metabolism is suppressed and IL4/BDNF-mediated signaling mechanisms are enhanced. |
