Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) reaction using cDNA from 24 hpf, 48 hpf, 96 hpf, and 2-month-old zebrafish embryos. For zN2B.1, the forward primer lies in exon 12 and the reverse primer lies in exon 15, yielding a fragment of 680 bp. For zN2B.2, the forward primer lies in exon 4 and the reverse primer in exon 6, yielding a fragment of 775 bp. The N2B.1 does not appear to be expressed at 24 or 48 hpf but is seen at 96 hpf. The N2B.2 is not expressed at 24 hpf. It appears to be expressed at very low levels at 48 hpf and is strongly expressed at 96 hr. The expression has decreased by 2 months after fertilization. |
