Biography and Research Interest
I am currently a last-year PhD candidate in the group of Dr. Leonie Kamminga, in the department Molecular Biology headed by Prof. Henk Stunnenberg at the Radboud University/Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (Nijmegen, The Netherlands).

My research aims to unravel the epigenetic mechanism by which Polycomb Group Proteins (PcGs) function during early development. For this, I use zebrafish embryos to study tissue specification and maintenance.

After my Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences , I chose the research Masters Cancer Genomics & Developmental Biology at Utrecht University. During my Masters I worked on genomic stability, lymphangiogenesis, and epigenetics, by doing internships at the Utrecht University, Hubrecht Institute, and Utrecht University Medical Center. These research positions triggered me to pursue a career in academia and I started my PhD in which epigenetics and in vivo imaging come together.
