Statement of Research Interest
Our research is focused on the molecular understanding of vascular remodeling through cell adhesion structures. An important aspect of adhesion regulation occurs via mechanotransduction pathways at integrin and cadherin-based adhesion complexes. We currently study the physiological importance of endothelial junctional events, such as Pacsin2 and Vinculin recruitment, by combining high resolution microscopy of in vitro junction dynamics with visualizing endothelial interactions in transgenic zebrafish.
