Statement of Research Interest
My lab interested in mechanisms that maintain Tissue Homeostasis, and their relevance to the ""Cancer Problem"". Inflammation may function physiologically to restore disturbed tissue homeostasis; while subclinical inflammation underlines many chronic diseases including cancer. I discovered that an emerging transformed-cell triggers a tumour promoting TROPHIC inflammation response. My aim is to unravel its underlying mechanisms using a zebrafish model and in vivo live imaging approaches.","In my studies I generate a large volume of in vivo live imaging time sequence data on leukocyte migrating behaviour. One of my interests is to use computational methods to model leukocyte behaviour in various tissue environments, and which might help to predict novel signals that would modulate leukocyte behavior in a hitherto novel environment.
