Statement of Research Interest
Our laboratory aims to understand how signaling molecules and neuron specific transcription factors cooperate to regulate the differentiation of noradrenergic neurons in the brainstem and regulate the development of the respiratory network in zebrafish. With our research we hope to gain a better understanding of respiratory disorders in humans.
Our lab is also interested in the molecular and cellular mechanisms, which regulate the differentiation of neural crest cells to neurons of the peripheric nervous system, the sympathetic ganglia and enteric ganglia.
