Statement of Research Interest

We are interested in the development and regeneration of the zebrafish islet. Using a drug inducible system, we can specifically ablate beta cells of the islet and study their regeneration over time. We are now focusing on ascertaining the mechanism behind beta cell regeneration and identifying beta cell progenitors.
