Statement of Research Interest

Biochemical analysis of signal transduction events involved in fertilization and early egg activation. Role of Src family protein tyrosine kinases in initiation of development. Most of our work has been on the c-Fyn tyrosine kinase. We are interested in the role of this kinase in calcium mobilization following fertilization, and the mechanism by which the kinase itself is regulated.
