Phenotype: ventral habenular nucleus dendrite decreased volume, abnormal
Note: This statement combines anatomy and/or ontology terms with phenotype quality terms to create a complete phenotype (EQ) statement. For detailed information on individual terms, click the hyperlinked term name.
Name: ventral habenular nucleus
Synonyms:
Definition: Habenular nucleus positioned ventromedially to the dorsal habenular nuclei. The ventral habenular nuclei are paired and symmetrical, each have a conical shape defined by a wide rostral end, occupying the entire anterior region of the habenula, and a narrow caudal end. The axons of the ventral habenular nucleus passed laterally through the interpeduncular nucleus and projected to the ventral part of the median raphe. The ventral habenular nucleus is homolog mammalian lateral habenular nucleus.
Ontology: Anatomy Ontology [ZFA:0000302]
Name: dendrite
Synonyms:
Definition: A neuron projection that has a short, tapering, morphology. Dendrites receive and integrate signals from other neurons or from sensory stimuli, and conduct nerve impulses towards the axon or the cell body. In most neurons, the impulse is conveyed from dendrites to axon via the cell body, but in some types of unipolar neuron, the impulse does not travel via the cell body.
Ontology: GO: Cellular Component [GO:0030425]    QuickGO    AmiGO
Name: decreased volume
Synonyms: low volume, small volume
Definition: A volume which is relatively low.
Ontology: Phenotypic Quality Ontology [PATO:0000596]
