Phenotype: intersegmental vein endothelial tip cell decreased speed, abnormal
Note: This statement combines anatomy and/or ontology terms with phenotype quality terms to create a complete phenotype (EQ) statement. For detailed information on individual terms, click the hyperlinked term name.
Name: intersegmental vein
Synonyms: ISV
Definition: Veins that connect the posterior cardinal vein and the dorsal longitudinal anastomotic vessel. They run along the vertical myotomal boundaries. They form from primary intersegmental vessels that are contacted by secondary angiogenic sprouts from the posterior cardinal vein and take on the characteristics of veins. These eventually link with other secondary sprouts from the posterior cardinal vein to form the parachordal vessel.
Ontology: Anatomy Ontology [ZFA:0001057]
Name: endothelial tip cell
Synonyms: endothelial tip cells
Definition: A specialized endothelial cell that senses extracellular signals and guides the directed growth of blood vessels.
Ontology: Anatomy Ontology [ZFA:0009303]
Name: decreased speed
Synonyms: slow, slow speed
Definition: A speed which is relatively low.
Ontology: Phenotypic Quality Ontology [PATO:0000304]
