Phenotype: posterior crista cilium ab2-tub-glyc labeling decreased distribution, abnormal
Note: This phenotype statement describes a gene expression or antibody labeling pattern. Anatomy terms are combined with a gene or antibody and phenotype quality.
EXPRESSION ANATOMY:
Name: posterior crista
Synonyms: caudal crista, pc, posterior crista ampullaris, posterior cristae, posterior semicircular canal sensory patch, posterior semicircular canal sensory patches
Definition: Patch of thickened, pseudostratified epithelium that is associated with the posterior semicircular canal. It consists of regular arrays of sensory hair cells interspersed with supporting cells. The posterior crista has its own characteristic shape and polarity pattern. (See Anatomical Atlas entry for sensory patches of the ear by T. Whitfield.)
Ontology: Anatomy Ontology [ZFA:0000566]
Name: cilium
Synonyms: eukaryotic flagellum, flagellum, microtubule-based flagellum
Definition: A specialized eukaryotic organelle that consists of a filiform extrusion of the cell surface and of some cytoplasmic parts. Each cilium is largely bounded by an extrusion of the cytoplasmic (plasma) membrane, and contains a regular longitudinal array of microtubules, anchored to a basal body.

ANTIBODY LABELING:
Name: Ab2-tub-glyc
Previous Names: TAP 952 (1), TAP952 (1), anti-monoglycylated tubulin (1)
