Definition

Catalysis of the reaction: a 1,2-diacyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine + all-trans-retinol--[retinol-binding protein] = a 2-acyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine + an all-trans-retinyl ester + apo--[retinol-binding protein]. Recognizes the substrate both in free form and when bound to cellular-retinol-binding-protein, but has higher affinity for the bound form.
