Definition
An extrinsic allergic alveolitis which is induced by the inhalation of spores (Aspergillus sp and thermophilic actinomycetes) in dust from moldy hay or straw. It is characterized by sudden onset, fever, cough, expectoration, and breathlessness. (2)
