Experiment Conditions Description: chemical treatment by environment: LY-411575, chemical treatment by environment: neomycin, chemical treatment by environment: verteporfin
chemical treatment by environment: LY-411575
Name: chemical treatment by environment
Synonyms:
Definition: Chemical treatment condition in which the chemical is introduced through the environment. For zebrafish this is the tank water.
Ontology: Zebrafish Environment Condition Ontology [ZECO:0000238]
Name: LY-411575
Synonyms: LSN-411575, LY-411575, LY411575, N(2)-[(2S)-2-(3,5-difluorophenyl)-2-hydroxyacetyl]-N-[(7S)-5-methyl-6-oxo-6,7-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[b,d]azepin-7-yl]-L-alaninamide, N(2)-[(2S)-2-(3,5-difluorophenyl)-2-hydroxyethanoyl]-N(1)-[(7S)-5-methyl-6-oxo-6,7-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[b,d]azepin-7-yl]-L-alaninamide
Definition: A dibenzoazepine that is 5,7-dihydro-6H-dibenzo[b,d]azepin-6-one which is substituted at the 7 pro-S position by the C-terminal carboxamide nitrogen of N(2)-[(2S)-2-(3,5-difluorophenyl)-2-hydroxyacetyl]-L-alaninamide. It is a potent, cell permeable and selective gamma-secretase inhibitor. It has been tested as a possible treatment for Alzheimer's disease and shows promise for its potential to counteract severe hearing loss.

chemical treatment by environment: neomycin

Ontology: Zebrafish Environment Condition Ontology [ZECO:0000238]
Name: neomycin
Synonyms: Neomycin
Definition: A broad-spectrum highly toxic antibiotic or mixture of antibiotics produced by a streptomyces (Streptomyces fradiae) and used medically especially to treat local infections.
Ontology: ChEBI [CHEBI:7507]  ( EBI )
chemical treatment by environment: verteporfin
Name: chemical treatment by environment
Synonyms:
Definition: Chemical treatment condition in which the chemical is introduced through the environment. For zebrafish this is the tank water.
Ontology: Zebrafish Environment Condition Ontology [ZECO:0000238]
Name: verteporfin
Synonyms: trans-(+-)-18-ethenyl-4,4a-dihydro-3,4-bis(methoxycarbonyl)-4a,8,14,19-tetramethyl-23H,25H-benzo[b]porphine-9,13-dipropanoic acid monomethyl ester, trans-(+-)-18-ethenyl-4,4a-dihydro-3,4-bis(methoxycarbonyl)-4a,8,14,19-tetramethyl-23H,25H-benzo[b]porphine-9,13-dipropionic acid monomethyl ester, trans-18-ethenyl-4,4a-dihydro-3,4-bis(methoxycarbonyl)-4a,8,14,19-tetramethyl-23H,25H-benzo[b]porphine-9,13-dipropanoic acid monomethyl ester, trans-18-ethenyl-4,4a-dihydro-3,4-bis(methoxycarbonyl)-4a,8,14,19-tetramethyl-23H,25H-benzo[b]porphine-9,13-dipropionic acid monomethyl ester, verteporfin, Visudyne
Definition: An equimolar mixture of the 9-methyl ester and 13-methyl ester of trans-(+-)-18-ethenyl-4,4a-dihydro-3,4-bis(methoxycarbonyl)-4a,8,14,19-tetramethyl-23H,25H-benzo[b]porphine-9,13-dipropanoic acid. It is used as a photosensitizer in photodynamic therapy to eliminate the abnormal blood vessels in the eye associated with neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration. Verteporfin accumulates in these abnormal blood vessels and, when activated by red (693 nm) laser light in the presence of oxygen, produces highly reactive short-lived singlet oxygen and other reactive oxygen radicals, resulting in local damage to the endothelium and blockage of the vessels.
