Abstract
CRISPRs were used to generate a mutant in this gene in exon 8. The generated allele is an insertion followed by a deletion (see attached image of alignment of with CRISPRs (teal) and genotyping primers (pink)). New primers were designed for improved genotyping (shown in yellow). This mutant was found to have very low survival (1-2 alive when 8-12 were expected) and scoliosis as an adult. Minor body morphology phenotypes appeared at larval stages, but they were not quantified.
