Biography and Research Interest
I was born in Beijing and got my PhD at the Stockholm University. Now I am working as a curator at the Department of Vertebrate Zoology, Swedish Museum of Natural History.

My research interests are systematics and phylogeny of danionin and rasborine fishes from South and Southeast Asia based on morphological and molecular characters. Zebrafish, Danio rerio, is one of the species that is included in my study. Knowing the phylogeny of this group of closely related species both at the species and a higher level can bring us an insight on how they were evolved and where they came from. It in turn gives us a better understanding on genetics and development of zebrafish, as a model organism.
