Before I joined Summit plc I co-ordinated the zebrafish laboratory work in Greg Elgar's Comparative Genomics Group at the MRC RFCGR, Hinxton, UK. We were analysing the function of highly Conserved Non-coding Elements (CNEs) using a transient transgenic approach in zebrafish.
Previously I worked in Cecilia Moens' lab at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA, USA and in Nigel Holder's and Steve Wilson's labs at King's College and University College London. I studied the roles of Eph signalling during development, particularly in hindbrain segmentation, mechanisms of segmentation and boundary formation during hindbrain development and the role of segmentation in hindbrain patterning.
