Biography and Research Interest
The focus of the group is to understand the cellular and molecular basis for
musculoskeletal development and regeneration. Current projects include (1) investigating the regulatory basis for head muscle patterning (2) analysing regulators of muscle progenitor cells during regeneration (3)determining the role of the innate immune system during muscle injury and repair. There is also a long standing interest in understanding how proprioceptive neurons make connections to the jaw muscles during development.
