Statement of Research Interest
We are interested in the development and functional organization of neuronal networks that control innate motor behaviors. Specifically, we study motor circuits controlling exploratory and evasive maneuvers in developing zebrafish and how excitatory and inhibitory circuits in the brainstem and spinal cord control the speed and direction of locomotion. To do so, the lab uses a combination of molecular, imaging, electrophysiology and behavioral approaches.
