Definition:	a group of cells near the surface of the brain between the supraoptic nucleus and the cortical amygdalar nucleus in the rat ( Swanson-1998 ) and the mouse ( Paxinos-2001 ). It is one of five subdivisions of the medial amygdalar nucleus.
